Lock Screen broken on new installs

Post by andreios » Thu Aug 16, 2018 10:38

When I install unsing the daily build or the last stable ISO, the lock screen is always broken after install. I have tested it with KDE, XFCE, and Cinnamon.
The lock screen always says "unlocking failed" dosen't mater if password wrong or right. You can only unlock from tty with

Code: Select all

loginctl unlock-session
At least this is the case installed it in Virtualbox. But this shouldn't be the cause, right?

It shouldn't be the case. It's believed to be an upstream issue, but there is a hack that some of us have done.
Unfortunately, this workaround has to be done after every kde upgrade:

Edit: I was only aware of this being an issue for kde

Well, that's a problem.
How is this even possible? My installed sabayon has no problem with this. I have installed it a few years ago but updated regularly.

If have done a reinstall, using the xfce edition. Now this problem too. Must have to do with a new config on the DVD, wasn't there before.

Unsining cinnamon this works,

Code: Select all

loginctl unlock-session
but with with xfce I have to kill xscreennsaver.
