Apache DocumentRoot [Solved]

Post by K0tuk » Fri Mar 11, 2011 13:40

Hi again :)

It seems that configuring Sabayon can be a PIA after using Ubuntu for 1,5 years :)

I need to change my apache DocumentRoot directory from default to "/media/MyStuff/www". Can anyone help me with it? It just seems that i cannot find any information on the internet that would be Sabayon specific. Everything is Ubuntu/SUSE related, which does not work in this case.

I edited

Code: Select all

/etc/apache2/vhosts.d/00_default_vhost.conf
and in the <VirtualHost *:80> section added

Code: Select all

DocumentRoot "/media/MyStuff/www"
.

After restarting apache, it changed DocumentRoot, but now it throws "403 Forbidden" when i connect to localhost. I tried changing Apache user in in /etc/apache2/httpd.conf, tried changing /media/MyStuff/www owner, but it did not help.

Can please somebody help me with this?
