Volume Control doesn't work?

Post by warbltux » Mon Dec 14, 2009 22:26

Hi guys, I'm pretty stumped at the moment. Sound and alsa work on my computer, but adjusting the gnome volume control has no effect whatsoever. If anyone has any ideas or solutions for this please post :D .

It happened the same to me

I had more than 2 devices digital and analogic

click on audio preferences and choose digital or analogic just try to change. Runing kde is solved but its just a configuration problem , by the way I noticed that every time i boot gnome i haved to change it so ask how you can change it ;)

I just installed 5.1Gnome, and I have to turn the manual volume control up a lot to hear the sound. When I clicked on Preferences / Sound, all I got was a window that says "Waiting for sound system to respond." All it does is keep waiting. :(

Change the output?
On mine I've got 3 outputs, two of which do nothing, but no matter how many times I change it, it resets back to the useless one on reboot
