install using the package manager. -- http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php?title=En:Entropy

open spritz click on available, then search for wine. right click on it, select install. click queued, click review for install, click commit actions, watch it install.

or use the command line

Code: Select all
equo install wine

you might also want to check out playonlinux
Code: Select all
equo install playonlinux
If you check the wiki, use the search function and google you can find the answer to most of your questions.

On my backup system wine is working after the name and organisation is entered

On my notebook nothing happens after the name and organisation is entered

The difference between the two computers is
Backup system has Windows XP partition
Notebook has Vista partition

I do remember seeing a topic about getting wine to work when computer has been partition with Vista, do a search for wine on the sabayon forum, sorry I can't point you to the link as I did not read it

Have fun
