it worked, just the ebuild fails - contact the overlay maintainer, tough to support overlays, the maintainer is only one that can make necessary changes

no idea why you would want to use gimpshop, use gimp

The problem lies in the fact that the mv command in the ebuild is missing the "media-gfx" portion of the path needed to find the files.

You can fix this by finding the mv command and adding "media-gfx" to the line:
Code: Select all
mv ${PORTAGE_TMPDIR}/portage/media-gfx/gimpshop-${PV}/work/gimp-${PV} ${PORTAGE_TMPDIR}/portage/media-$
.

The file you need to edit will be /usr/local/portage/layman/zugaina/media-gfx/gimpshop/gimpshop-2.2.11.ebuild
This line will be found in the section that begins "src unpack () {"
It's line 63 here.

Afterward you need to run this command:
Code: Select all
ebuild gimpshop-2.2.11.ebuild digest

This will get portage the checksums and whatever all it wants to work. Afterward you should be able to emerge it successfully. I tested this here and it works just fine.

I'd file a bug with zugaina, but I can't find a place to do so.

GIMPshop is many versions behind the main gimp.

GIMP has more features, and is generally more stable, I should know, I use it enough
