We dont need anything to complicated imo something simple is more memorable.

Also we need to make sure the logo can be produced in svg!

Somebody had made a logo that I can't seem to find anymore that was just "SL" inside of a glass ball/button (or so the appearance was). I really liked it, although I might be biased since I like the glass icon look. It would also be easy to change the color to fit different themes. It looked somewhat like the new Spritz icon, but with SL instead of a star, and the SL looked more like it was also made out of red glass....man it's really hard to describe art with words.

What happened about the search for a new logo? Any further developments?

My favourites are still the following by txemijendrix, but I suppose the colours would need to be changed to match the new blue and black theme:

That last one was the one I was thinking of! Granted, I remembered it slightly differently (the SL was bigger in my mind) but I definitely still like it. Since it only has one color (different shades) I would think it would be easier to incorporate into different themes. Then again, I'm not exactly learned in the way of editing graphics, so I could be wrong.

It's been a while, but here goes.

Name: Sabayon Logo (or the Super Awesome Logo of Mega Greatness)
Link: It's an S. Sabayon starts with an S. Pretty good link I think.
Idea: Again, an S, nice and simple. Seriously though, there is a bit of Yin & Yang with the blue and grey on either side of the S. I used an oval rather than a circle because there are lots of round logos. It also allows for the elongated S which is similar to the new font. I just wanted to make something striking and simple - much like Sabayon. There are two versions here one with a dark outline and one with a light outline as seen below.



I hope you like it, and if there's any feedback I'll be happy to adjust it. I used Inkscape to create it so an .svg will be available.

Understated; nice! Good match with the current SL colour scheme.
