question on emerge [Solved]

Postby psilo357 » Tue Dec 23, 2008 21:06

It seems that no matter what i attempt to emerge from command line, it tells me there are no ebuilds for it. Is there some sort of setup i need to do to get it workign so I don't have to use spritz if i don't want to. Here are some things that are definitely there

emerge -av mpd

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!

emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "mpd".

emerge -av mozilla-firefox

Calculating dependencies... done!

emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "mozilla-firefox".

any tips would be great.

Code: Select all
cat /etc/make.conf | grep PORTDIR=
PORTDIR="/mnt/sabayon/portage/portage"
