Issue with Thunderbird [Solved]

Postby william4 » Sat Aug 16, 2008 23:02

I run Sabayon 3.5 on two laptops. I use Thunderbird for my email. On both laptops I cannot open URLs that I receive in email messages. Nothing happens when I click on them. When I save the link to my desktop, they open normally in Firefox. If I use another email program (e.g., kmail), the URLs open directly from within the email message. When I use Thunderbird in another Linux distro, they also open direcly. Does anybody know the change a setting so that I can open the URLs from within Thunderbird/Sabayon?

I had this problem some months ago, and resolved it by going into Firefox and again setting it as my default browser:

Yes, that solved it. I had to go to System -> Preferences -> Preferred Applications to set Firefox there as the preferred browser, but it works fine now. Thanks!
