Does anyone checked Wine 1.1.2? [Solved]

Postby Suseberlin » Wed Jul 30, 2008 11:59

Hello together!

Wine 1.1.2. is out and they solved the bug 10991 opened by me for an exotic Windows-Program. I am very happy that i can kill now the VM Windows on the machine from my dad and change his System from Fedora 7 to the incredible and fabulous sabayon 3.5 64bit with sabayon-artwork masked package >=3.5 ;-))).
I will do this on Saturday.
I think there will be no official ebuild for wine 1.1.2 on saturday. Is it possible to watch what the gentoo-people are doing with this packages? I only found the gentoo bug report and some entries with 1.1.2., but... i don't really understand at which time a package will be released. Is there a possibility to look over the shoulder ob the maintainers? I think it's very interesting for some users;-)

Anyone build his own ebuild?

Thanks!
Suse

Personally I unmasked wine-9999 and use the svn checkout. That way the minute it hits svn I can get the new version. The initial download is fairly beefy, after that though it's smaller as all your doing is downloading the changed pieces.
