I don't like YAST. Konsole + emerge rulez. I think that this is simple and easy enough to use... Some other things may need to change, but in my opinion this need to be the way it is...

If you don't want to use the new configuration control panel application than you don't have to :).

are there any new information when it will be ready and in available in a release... it's really annoying to don't have wlan working (i'm not able to get it to work with config files)
that's the biggest negative point for 3.3 that it's not integrated... and that my ati (x700) doesn't work :-(

I think the config tool of Mandriva or PCLinuxOS is great. I love it. And I would love it even more if it finds its way into Sabayon.

Here you see a few images:

i've just seen that yast2 is now completely opensource... which means you can follow the coding line by line... maybe the sabayon devs could look into for some ideas. (but don't look at sax2... it's awful)

YAST would be cool.

That is actually a really good idea. I like the idea of a specifically made configuration tool for Sabayon! That would help draw in a crowd for more people to move to Sabayonlinux!!! Besides, I'd use it. ;)

so.. I'm digging this old post from me out to ask if there are any news on this one...

we've got a cool new package management stack (entropy) with a more or less useable graphical packagemanager (spritz) (although it seems a bit slow to me) ... and still there's nothing like a control center in the make afaik :-(

Again I'd suggest Yast as the perfect choice .. especially as it has been cleaned up recently and there are also efforts to port it to other distros (e.g. fedora)

If there's still someone working on a control center.. what's the state, is there any release plan yet, can we expect it for Sabayon Linux 4.0?

and the better question: is there any development going on for 4.0 yet? (and which changes are planned for it)
