SabayonLinux 3.0 miniEditions will be out in few days sporting 2.6.18 kernel and a better in-kernel bcm43xx support.

Mm... I'm very interested to see how that turns out, as that was my friend's biggest issue when he installed Sabayon 3.0RC2 on his laptop. He has it working now, but it would be nice to see out of the box compat.

Will there be a way to upgrade just the kernel, and keep everything else from the newest full 3.0 DVD install?

Or will we have to clean install the miniEdition 3.0, and wipe the drive?

I'm sure I will be an field tester!

you can actually just upgrade your kernel right now, follow the howto in the tutorial section, and readd bcm43xx support into the kernel to test it
