Can't get the Internet! [Solved]

Postby Sabretooth » Tue Dec 11, 2007 11:41

Just installed Sabayon 3.4 MiniEdition, as a dual-boot with Windows XP. I have a fixed IP, which I didn't add during the installation, thinking of doing it later. I have Sabayon installed and all, but I can't seem to find a way to input my IP, DNS and Gateway addresses or configure my internet in general anywhere. :(

I'm relatively a Linux newbie, but it could be something to do with only having experience with Ubuntu's GNOME. I tried starting knetworkmanager, but absolutely nothing happens when I try to launch it. In Konsole, I'm just dropped to the next prompt. How do I get my Internet running? :(

Heh, there's a reason for that. I'd elaborate, but there's a reason. :D

Lemme head to Sabayon and check it out.

EDIT: It's working! I'm typing from Sabayon right now! Thanks a bunch! :D
