Wine DirectX 9.0c setup tutorial

Post by BlueJayofEvil » Sat Nov 24, 2007 20:25

I came across this mentioned in the Rootly feed on the side of Distrowatch:

Link

From what I've read, it's not 100% guaranteed to work with all programs, but about 95+% of the time it does.

Wow, thanks! Thats great tutorial and I'll try it in my free time.
If everything goes as the author said it can be a huge step in running windows games on Linux. But there is one problem that is bothering me. I'm wondering if wine with DX 9.0c will be able to run older games like Warcraft 3 because when I wanted to play in W3 I have to emerge older version of emulator. I hope that the newest version of Wine + DX 9.0c will be a perfect solution to that annoying problem.
I'll test that tutorial and I'll post here the results

WaraWara, I think that installation from wine-doors will be the same
