do this:

Code: Select all
# equery list kicker

post the output of that. I'm wondering if you have two versions installed. You may have to do

Code: Select all
# emerge -C kicker
# emerge kicker

That may be the problem.

again , with kde 3.5.9 , same problem, no suse menu

kicker dont want to emerge with kickoff...

# USE="kickoff" emerge -av kicker

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild R ] kde-base/kicker-3.5.9 USE="kdeenablefinal xinerama -arts -debug -kdehiddenvisibility -xcomposite" 21 kB

Total: 1 package (1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 21 kB

Would you like to merge these packages? [Yes/No]

Yeah, I had a similar problem. I found out that the version of kicker installed was not in the sabayon overlay. This meant that the patches that include the suse menu would not be applied. Therefore, I installed a kicker from the sabayon overlay and the suse menu is now back.
