Can any one tell me if Envy, the graphic driver installer works in Sabayon?

If you want to install the drivers..

Code: Select all

sudo emerge ati-drivers
(For ATI cards)

Code: Select all

sudo emerge nvidia-drivers
(For Nvidia cards)
Very cool! But, it doesn't install the new driver (for ATI), just the old one. Is there any way to install the 8.42.3 driver? My experience is that without that driver, my card will not do very good 3D graphics (aiglx, etc.)...

Or you could download it from the ATI website, you would have to compile it yourself though.

Are there any instructions available to show me how to do that? I have looked around a little and haven't found any.
