Hi. I am trying to configure my wifi for Atheros AR5418 on using Linux 2.6.22-sabayon x86_64. I tried to follow the directions below but I was unsuccessful.

I am able to maintain an ip address through net-setup, but I cannot ping anything. My output from lspci looks like:

0e:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5418 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)

I even tried making the latest madwifi driver by following hte directions below:

I used the ndiswrapper and following the directions from the link below, but I sporatically need to reconnect.

Ok. I changed to a more accurate driver and now it seems to be consistently connected. Make sure to download the 7iwc28ww.exe driver from the link below.

Once you unpack using cabextract run:

ndiswrapper -i WINXP_2K/NET5416.INF
