cannot change theme in xfce 4 [Solved]

Postby lunatic_asylum » Fri Nov 02, 2007 16:29

hi all , I have a wierd problem here , I installed xfce 4 and everything is working fine , except when I change the theme from the user interface settings nothing seems to happen. The windows still appear the same, no matter what theme I use.
nothing that I do seems to work.
thanks in advance.

no am not using compiz fusion . I am sorry if this forum is about compiz fusion only. the name or the description doesnt clarify that.
I am having problems with basic gtk themes , have installed all the gtk engines in x11-themes .

This forum isn't compiz fusion only, however, solving the problem is vastly different depending on if you're running compiz fusion or not. And I wish I could help you with your problem, but I've never used XFCE.

well I have it solved partly , run switch2 and select the theme you want.
But xfce's own interface settings doesnt work , so I guess it is a xfce bug
