Nvidia 6800GT DVI-HDMI Res Help!!!

Post by alphamajestic » Tue Oct 30, 2007 19:21

Let me first start with saying sabayon is AWESOME!
But I have a problem with my screen resolution.I have a nvidia 6800GT coming out of the computer at DVi and into my Samsung LE32R74BD wide-screen L.C.D tv useing a DVI-HDMI cable. My L.C.D screen has a native resolution of 1280x720(HDTV720p). An this is what linux and the L.C.D are displaying, so you would think that everything is o.k. But I have lost the bottom and the top of my screen? In Windows x.p the Nvidia drivers let me set the resolution to 1200x668,which looks great. Also my L.C.D is connect to my xbox 360 v.g.a-v.g.a at a resolution of 1366x768 and looks great, but could be up-scaling the resolution? I've editing the xorg file and tried using xvidtune both with no success! Please help a linux noob!!!!

Hi, have same video card, but can't say I've done this.

Did find the following pages which *may* provide you some cut and paste answers.

Good luck

Use handrails on stairs. A nasty fall face first changes your point of view quickly, and mine permanently :-)
