Hello, I am having similar problems with my T60 w/v5250 ATI card (x1600)

I cannot use OpenGL for various programs, and I cannot open the ATI catalyst center because it says my drivers are not installed, which i have tried to do via emerge ati-drivers. the installation seems to complete without problems, but I still cannot do anything proper.

The other problem that is obvious is that when I open acceleration manager, it is clicked on no acceleration. I click XGL, then the configure button and the window just crashes/dissapears. I open it again, it is still clicked on no acceleration.

Everything else works fine, compiz, resolution, etc. But I do need to get openGL working, and I would really prefer XGL to work too.

Please help! Sabayon has been great so far!
