Uhhh... Unless I'm just being stupid, I think the link is broken.

OK, So that fixed most of compiz-fusion. Although I had to re-emerge ccsm and now a few plugins will not work. Also VLC quit working and now Superkarambas Liquid Weather complains there is no PyQt4 installed, which is not the case.

Having the same problem updating Python.

I must say, I took 5 minutes and updated all of those singly in different konsole windows and everything works great now, everythign opens. I must say almost all of them needed to be updated also, so if you got 5-15 minutes. Just emerge all of them singly. See what goes on. which one needs to be updated or not. I realized not to let a script do everything for you...

Well, I finally bit the bullet and reinstalled... I wanted to use a separate /home partition anyway, and I hadn't done it already, so whatever. Backed up home file to flash drive with tar, then restored it on the new system, and like magic, all my settings were restored. I vow to never again update python. :D
