Bluetooth device not showing up in KDE [SOLVED]

Postby pajamabama » Fri Sep 28, 2007 16:54

So bluetooth worked out of the box in SL 3.3 and prior. And now in 3.4, all the modules seem to be there:

Code: Select all
# lsmod
...
rfcomm                 43048  0
l2cap                  27008  5 rfcomm
hci_usb                19996  2
bluetooth              59012  7 rfcomm,l2cap,hci_usb
...

but KBluetooth says "No Bluetooth device found!"

And the entry in Konqueror->Actions menu for sending files via bluetooth is no longer there. Any ideas what's going on? Am I missing something?

I just remerged a few packages (bluez-libs, bluez-utils, kdebluetooth), and it basically fixed itself. I also had to start the obex server in order to get incoming files. It even put the bluetooth action back into konqueror.
