First person shooters?

Postby windtalker » Mon Sep 24, 2007 21:29

Hi all! Been using Linux exclusively for about 5 months now. I am new to Sabayon however and am impressed.
Been looking for a distro that had a repository pretty much like this one. Lottsa games for when I'm bored and need a break.
I'm to lazy to climb a water tower with an AK so what first person shooters would be recommended that don't require a CD and are kinda like Doom and Duke Nukem? Yes, I saw them and am downloading them as of this writing. BTW, what and where would I look for to let me know if I need a cd?

Do any of these have a single player mode? Seems like everyone wants to play on the net anymore. I just want to destroy a bunch of computer bots while my modem is busy downloading files.

QUOTE! :D

for ET there is also lots of mods and maps and can add bots, but there isn't a true single player campaign (it's the on-line development of Return to Castle Wolfenstein)
