Ok - the desktop file is ok. Then I don't know where your problem is. It works fine on for the other users. As I already mentioned: If you run portato as user in the console. Is there some error message or sth after you entered your password in the gksu dialog?

Today I updated to portato 0.8.5

Everthing works great, it seems more stable... So great work.
I only have a question about the etc-proposals plugin. After the update it is gone and I can't find a way to get it back. The etcproposals use flag is also gone for 0.8.5, or is this plugin dropped?

Thx

I had to drop it, as etcproposals is not in portage =/. I asked the author if he wants to put the portato plugin into his package - but he did not answer ...

That's unfortunate. I was really beginning to like that plugin. Hopefully, etcproposals will get back into portage. 0.8.5 is the best yet. Kudos.

Hi there,

a etc-proposals dev speaking. Im currently really bound by my job, I hope we will fix this issue on the weekend.
BTW there is a bug about getting etc-proposals into portage, if you have any helpful comments feel free to make yourself heard.
