Command & Conquer - FREE

Post by thewho443 » Fri Sep 07, 2007 8:05

EA Games is giving away free .iso files of C&C Gold. I'm still downloading, so I'm not sure how well it works on wine, but hey it's free.

Haha... Oh wow. Is this the original? Because only C&C Red Alert 2 is really kick ass.

Yes this is the orriginal complete command & conquer NOD and GDI versions (2cd) pack, I haven't tried it yet on wine but I think it should work?? cause C&C3 did work on wine too:)

I try to install with wine from the console using "wine ./media/GDI95/setup.exe" and it starts up and then I get an error stating it can't find the necessary files. I tried to run winecfg and set the setting to win95, but that didn't help either. Anyone have a fix?

Thanks

I get the same.

When you run winecfg check that wine is seeing your cdrom drive. It's not listed in my installation of wine, which is also the problem when I try to run Far Cry.
I don't know how to get wine to "see" the cdrom.
Please can anyone solve this problem
