I can't install portato

Postby Galgalid » Sun Sep 09, 2007 1:49

Hi. I'm totally new on Sabayon Linux, and a friend told me to install portato, but it wouldn't let me >_>:

How do I installed portato. I hardly even knows what it is xD. Can someone explain that as well?

The first command I ran was:
layman -o http://portato.sf.net/layman.xml -S && layman -o http://portato.sf.net/layman.xml -a portato

then emerge portato

Do not use the 9999 version. Use 0.8.5 :arrow:
Code: Select all
layman -d portato
layman -S
emerge -av "=portato-0.8.5"

9999 is the development version and therefore can contain non working code :)
