I had similar issues with start up after updating this morning. All I did was emerge the fusion icon again and now everything is perfect.

If you're having trouble with start up try:
Code: Select all
# emerge x11-plugins/compiz-fusion-plugins-unsupported x11-apps/compiz-settings x11-apps/fusion-icon

(thanks for the tip btw Wolfden!) :D

x11-libs/libX11 xcb

I believe is the cause of that - I have to check on that yet.

@Wolfden - I was going to use your method for this problem :
http://forum.sabayonlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=9554 (I've already reinstalled)
but I have a few questions first.

The first line of the "emerge -C" has

emerge -C x11-libs/bcop x11-apps/ccsm x11-wm/compiz x11-libs/compiz-bcop x11-

but the first line of the "emerge" has

emerge x11-libs/compiz-bcop x11-apps/ccsm x11-wm/compiz x11-libs/compiz-bcop x11-

in other words, the first example has "x11-libs/bcop" followed towards the end of the line
by "x11-libs/compiz-bcop" while the second example has "x11-libs/compiz-bcop" twice.

Sorry if this is a dumb question...

Okey-doke - but should it be

emerge -C x11-libs/bcop x11-apps/ccsm x11-wm/compiz x11-libs/compiz-bcop x11-

and

emerge x11-libs/bcop x11-apps/ccsm x11-wm/compiz x11-libs/compiz-bcop x11-

?

Did you try the advice in this thread?:
http://forum.sabayonlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=9058

If Azureus isn't working, you may need to re-install Java as described in that thread. I recall one of the other threads here mentioned something with Compiz-Fusion or one of its dependencies conflicts with Java apps like Azureus. My Azureus did not work out-of-the-box but the advice about emerging Java got it working.

Let me know if this helps any! :)
