XP not in GRUB boot menu!!! [Solved]

XP not in GRUB boot menu!!! [Solved]

I had XP Home on my computer forever and ive been dual-booting with Ubuntu for a few weeks, but not i wanted to use Sabayon, and i install it after formatting my Linux partition (not the partition with windows) and installed Sabayon, and when i go to boot i only get my Sabayon OS and my Emachines Recovery on my GRUB boot menu, but no XP!!! HELP PLZ!!

edit the grub.conf and add it ???

in that guide it doesnt seem to show XP in the grub.conf, only NT and 95... sorry a ace at XP and Vista but a noob with Linux

The very first example is XP

and it doesn't matter what the name of windows is

oh ok, sorry i see it now, but could u give me the exact adress to the .conf file for me?? i do a search and noting is shown so if u can tell me where it is i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!

ok, i edited the Lilo like it told me, but i cant open the grub.conf file... could you please exlain a little more stuff to me?? tihs is really confusing!!

lilo???

this is grub

you have to be root to edit config files.

in my system administration i can edit the Lilo.conf file through that program... i cant figure out how on earth to edit GRUB... if you could help me with that, im really new to this... im sorry

which can be found here:

you have to be root level to edit that file
