Java Problem with 3.4a

Postby LinuxHack » Fri Aug 03, 2007 4:13

I'd dwnld some Linux games as well as a Study Bible program, when I was running 3.3...

I did a Clean install from a DVD iso dwnld....
To 3.4a....

The Games work.... :D GREAT!

But the Bible Program CRAPS out.... :(

They both Load and run the sameway in Konsole...
Here's the output for my Bible Study Prog:

linuxhack@localhost ~ $ '/home/linuxhack/A PREACHERS GUIDE/jsword-1.0.7/BibleDesktop.sh'
/home/linuxhack/A PREACHERS GUIDE/jsword-1.0.7/BibleDesktop.sh: line 46: cd: /home/linuxhack/A: No such file or directory
dirname: extra operand `PREACHERS'
Try `dirname --help' for more information.
Error: JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly.
We cannot execute /etc/java-config-2/current-system-vm/bin/java
linuxhack@localhost ~ $

Can't say this makes since to me...
But sometimes I don't see the solution to Spite my nose...

It worked and run fine in 3.3...
I ran them the sameway in 3.3 as well.
Any Ideas WELCOME... :?: :!:

Never mind I figured it out.

Even though in several other Threads here, others had said the jre is installed by default...
It's not, AT Least on mine it wasn't.

After emerging Kuroo, Typing Java this and Java that, It finally hit me to type in....
YOU GUESSED it emerge jre, Yes this was done in Konsole not Kuroo, It Installed without a glitch, and everything runs as it should, And as it did in 3,3.

HOPE This Helps someone. :P
