64 bit 3.4 won't run most programs?

Postby gekido » Wed Aug 01, 2007 22:49

Unlike alot of people here (it seems), my install of the 64bit 3.4 installation went perfectly fine...except that now when i'm booted up, almost no programs actually work it seems.

I try to open conqueror or the 'home' folders and nothing happens...for some apps it shows a bit of a progress bar but then...nothing.

i finally managed to get firefox open (hence typing this post) and now picasa, but the ati catalyst setup doesn't work, can't browse the harddrive, can't open the control center, nothing.

very strange.

i'm going through the appz installed by default to see what runs (if anything).

so far, i can get firefox & picasa to run...nothing else seems to want to run at all.
