Anaconda won't detect my HDD

Post by ctown.myth » Tue Jul 31, 2007 21:23

Hi, all - new to the story is that gentoo is takes too much time to put together, so I'm moving to sabayon...

Anyways, my problem is that when I go to either manually configure my HDD or let Anaconda do it, it doesn't detect it:
"An error has occurred - no valid devices were found on which to create new file systems. Please check your hardware for the cause of this problem."
I'm trying to install 3.3 (I'm guessing that 3.4a is a beta release?). My dad's Fedora 7 works on another partition on the same drive.

My system specs are:
Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.4
MSI P-965 Neo-f
Samsung SpinPoint 160GB (I'm looking for the serial right now)
ATi Radeon X1950 XT 512MB
