Default USE flags

Postby enderandrew » Tue Jul 31, 2007 12:04

I have a simple question because I (in my massively sleep deprived state) did something stupid. I formatted my Reiser4 Gentoo install and finalled went with a Sabayon (Ext 4) install on my desktop. I had backed up my various configuration files which I figured largely I could just plug back in, since this was still ostensibly Gentoo.

However, I was looking at the Sabayon make.conf and mine, and I merged the various use flags. I went over them thorougly to remove any duplication and figure out which ones I really wanted, and which ones I could drop. I then alphabetized them so I can better find the use flags in my make.conf

I thought I saved it (I had my old version, the Sabayon version, and a new file) but it appears I just saved my old make.conf, and like I said, now I just formatted. Since I overwrote the make.conf, I no longer have a list of the Sabayon default USE flags. Is there someone out there who (for the most part) hasn't changed their flags since installing? Can I get a list of the default USE flags?

Are there USE flags I need to use with Sabayon? I've never run with AIGLX or Compiz-fusion, or a variety of the packages Sabayon has before, so I'm worried that I'm missing some important flags I need, and an updates will break the system.

You're a good man, Charlie Brown. I need to go over all the use flags again and redo my make.conf

I'm sure this will be of great help.
