this is incredible !!! yay, my city is the "european capital of culture" and luxembourg also, this year ....

http://www.sibiu2007.ro/index_en.php

a lot is happening here now ...

and for the n00b part, is ok, is a intended feature of sabayon to atract as many linux n00b's as their can .... but, as you can see, this part need more work ...
linux is free, the expertise to harness it is not!
you don't make so much money selling open source software!
You make MORE money USING it, just like google!

Same problem to me:

umount: Couldn't umonut /newroot: Invalid argument
!!Could not find CD to boot, something else needed!

even it booted from the DVD...

i tried with 32bit 3.4a version on 2 PCs

AMD Duron 1800MHz, 386 MB RAM and
Intel P4 1600 MHz, 786 MB RAM

and i changed three (!) DVD-ROMs

still the same problem happens.

Strange thing: on that PCs Sabayon 3.3, Mepis 6.5, Ubuntu 7.04 and Debian 4 are installed and work fine.

very, but really very very frustrating

I also tried it on one of my other pc's (desktop) and it ran like a charm, just to be sure it's not a media issue. Obviously it is'nt.

it's not a media issue.
md5sum is ok
burned 3 dvd with speed 1x

tried on 4 different modern pcs (amd and intel) with enough ram
but problem persists

sabayon 3.3 works fine on all 4 pcs

obviously a bug....

I have the same problem but I found a way past it.
If you edit the boot command from the LiveDVD start screen in the following way.
Delete back up to the end of dodmraid but leave it in and then type: nokvm noacpi ide=nodma noudev dodevfs
This has worked for me every time and im writing this from within sabayon now.
I have SATA hard drives but an IDE DVD drive, does everyone else who is having this problem have this configuration?
