^You're a bit late, mate! dave_p_b posted a link to a Web page with this video back on the first page of this thread! It does look good, though. ;-)

Don't forget to emerge the fusion-icon applet.

With that installed you'll have a beryl-like icon in the systray.

To start it, i made a little startup script on my desktop:

ci.sh
Code: Select all
!#bin/bash
fusion-icon

Don't forget to make it executable.

Of course you may also run fusion-icon from a terminal.

Cheers.

Hooray! I got it to work on my ATI card; guess it needed a reboot...(?). (Or maybe the last update to the ATI drivers fixed something, I didn't look at what it was). Good to know there isn't any issue with ATI cards.

It actually seems more stable than Beryl was for me!

I've got it running nicely now, but I can't get get Tile and Group & Tab plugins to respond to any key bindings I try. Anyone else have them working?

Same here, they just don't work. I even asked in the compiz-fusion IRC, but no explanation yet.

I tried the latest compiz-fusion - still lots broke, but getting better. I see some of the same issues I experienced are posted on the compiz-fusion site so at least they are aware of it.

I still prefer beryl

Glad to know I'm not the only one. I'd have spent days banging my head against the rotating cube trying to get them to work.

I too prefer Beryl so far, but Tile and Tab will be very useful if / when they work and will likely sway me. Expo is a great plugin.
