Hi Izo.
In my opinion is an original wallpaper.
I would make the borders of the shapes more transparent and the curves softer (there are some "peaks" in the top and right ones at least).
Also the contrast between the colors (grey/white vs red) in the right side (and maybe in the left bottom corner) it's too strong.
But that's only my opinion. It's your work so go ahead with what you feel.
Hope this helps.
Bye.

'K. This is my first proper attempt at this sort of wallpaper, so I was expecting a few glitches here and there. :)

Yeah, I'm not too good at creating curves using the path tool in GIMP. Curiously, Inkscape is much better for smooth curves with the Bezier tool, I may use that next time round.

Good point. My attempt to balance out the colours on either side proved unsuccessful.

Hi Izo.
This kind of wallpaper is easier to do with inkscape than with the Gimp.
If you plan to use inkscape, emerge the latest version (0.45), it has some improvements.
Bye.

Hi lxnay.
nice to see you and your skills here
I will stay here for a long time if you keep working in this great distro and making it better. :D
So, why not support the distro that gives me what I've been asking to linux for more than 5 years?.
That's the way linux goes; step by step but with many feet.
You can count on me for whatever you want, you know.
Bye

Thanks for that. So ... how do I emerge the latest version of Inkscape? :)
