3d Wallpaper v.4

Postby txemijendrix » Thu Feb 22, 2007 1:23

Hi all.
These are 2 wallpapers at 1280x1024 using the last 3D version of the hen foot logo, since sabayon is going to change its logo.
The 3D logo has been reworked in blender to its final version and postprocessed in the Gimp.
The backgrounds were made with inkscape.
The red one was a request, the blue one was a test with blue colors that the ones interested in a blueish look maybe will find useful.

actually , these are quite good . :D
however, you really need to reduce the logo size 50% , and I would use the logo in the blue one over the one in the red, but they are really both interesting. I would add a few more waves to the background, it really needs to be more wavy. lots more, and more mildly toned like backgrounds used by foresight or ubuntu. really , give my suggestions a try. if you manage to implement them fully i will use the blue one for my screen :)

As much as I like (bordering on love) Sabayon. I just don't feel the whole chicken foot thing.

Maybe its cause I used to have chickens and know what dirty disgusting animals they really are.

Just an opionion and everyone has their own, I just wish it were sexier..and more well cool.

Sorry been out of town for a few days and didn't see there was a thread already started on the issue of the logo.

I will put my "money where my mouth is" and try to come up with something as well.

That's some excellent work there, txemijendrix. :)

There'll be a wallpaper of my own coming out soon. Just the finishing touches left.
