edit /etc/fstab for live usb

Postby anthortic » Tue Feb 13, 2007 21:02

i need to modify the fstab file to prevent it mounting my /dev/sda1 ntfs drive to /newroot/mnt/cdrom, which i cant access.

it appears that there is no information on this anywhere in the forum  and so i think it qualifies as a development suggestion. p.s. great live usb tutorial

thanks Jesterhead that is just the line i need to add, but i dont think i explained myself very well earlier because i do not know how to save any editing. the fstab file says it cannot be modified in its # comment and when i saved it as root it reverted back to its default on reboot. i have xsistence operational in case you ask.

is there any way to keep an fstab in my profile or modify the live one? i havent succeeded in either
