Magic The Gathering (the card ggame) has an online version for windows, but I got it to run in gnome/wine (KDE was sluggish running it). But the tutorial doesn't seem to work with wine so don't bother trying that.
It's free at magicthegathering.com
You can run a free account.

It's a game more my pace. I thought there was a setting for "dead spectator" in Nexiuz cause I'd get killed as soon as I logged on.
Magic is more of a strategy game. It was the first card-based game. I remember it being new when I played D&D 20 years ago. My 7-yo son is into Yu-Gi-Oh and someone got him to try this. It's a lot cheaper than YGO. Especially since you can play the online version for free. If you buy the right box set (the one that comes with the rulebooks and CD-ROM) then you get an activation code that basically gives you the same deck online.
