3D wallpaper v.2 and a banner.

Postby txemijendrix » Mon Jan 15, 2007 19:17

Hi all:

I've done another wallpaper, starting from scratch, using blender and photoshop.

This version is a png image with alpha channel, so you can use it with your favorite background.

It's planned for use at 1280 x 1024 resolution, but you can resize it as you like.

In this screenshot, I've used the image with the following options in corresponding Control Panel tab:
Position: center - Colors: nightrock by tigert - Left color: #7E0000 - Right color: #FFB109

Image

The original png image can be downloaded using this link:

I've also made a banner using this logo, it's here:

Comments and criticisms are always welcome.

See you.

Yet another great job!!
Not sure if this will make a big difference but have you tried using Yaterf as a render for blender?
Code: Select all
http://www.yafray.org/

Also, where's the url for your background?

Hi.
1st thanks for your kind comments.
Answering to johnnyhay, I usually render my scenes with povray (there's a plugin for blender to export to povray), but this time it was done using blender internal engine.
Also, where's the url for your background?

The background for this wallpaper, as it shows in the screenshot of my 1st post, is generated by kde.

Go to KDE's Control Center :: Appearence and Themes :: Background
In Background change the following:

Picture: sabayon_new02.png

Options:
Position: Centered
Colors: Night Rock by Tigert
(Color to the left):#7E0000
(Color to the right):#FFB109
Blending: No blending

Then click the Applay button, close Control Center and you are done.
I hope that answers your question.
Bye.
