update after repo change breaks equo

Post by tazinblack » Fri Oct 16, 2020 18:43

Hi together,

today I switched from sabayon-weekly to sabayonlinux.org repo since there are no updates since some weeks, like can be read in the forum.
After that I updated with equo with

Code: Select all

equo update
and after that I did a

Code: Select all

equo upgrade --purge
I did this on two boxes. One of them was fine after that but on the second one something went wrong:

When I start equo I get this:

Code: Select all

equo update
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python-exec/python3.6/equo", line 14, in <module>
    from _entropy.solo.main import main
  File "/usr/lib64/python3.6/site-packages/_entropy/solo/main.py", line 17, in <module>
    from entropy.i18n import _
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'entropy'
Any ideas how to fix this?
Help is very appreciated!
Gruß

Is your Sabayon antique?
Seems to me profile problem;

please, output of the command, in your system :

# eselect profile list

Can you have a look at this:

Code: Select all

# eselect python list
Available Python interpreters, in order of preference:
  [1]   python3.7
  [2]   python3.6
How does this look on the system where Entropy is broken?

  [2]   python3.7
  [3]   python2.7 (fallback)

Try setting python to 3.7

Code: Select all

eselect python set python3.7

Maybe change the profile to 17.1?
