I am having difficulty installing Sabayon KDE 16.11 to my hard drive.
Every time I get to the language screen, I get an "unknown error message".
It seems that Anaconda is not responding or not doing what it's supposed to do.
I have used several DVD+R's on this install and can't find a fix.
Please advise.

Installer issue. You are attempting to install Sabayon, via DVD and running into issues. He moved your topic to the right place, that's all.
I've not encountered the problem you're seeing.
Have you done a checksum on the iso to make sure it isn't corrupted?

Re: Get language screen : Unknown error message
How do I do a "checksum"?
Re: Get language screen : Unknown error message
I checked the Checksum via K3b while copying the DVD and it matched from the website download.
I got the same unknown error - something about Anaconda crashing.
I am not a computer geek and just want to install Sabayon.
Very frustrating!! Please advise.

Doesn't Sabayon Linux come for the Intel processor?
Isn't this file for an AMD processor?...........Sabayon_Linux_16.11_amd64_KDE.iso

and(also known as x64, x86_64, AMD64 and Intel 64

PS : if you can't provide any logs errror or more info on your issues we can't help you. Many operating systems and products, especially those that introduced x86-64 support prior to Intel's entry into the market, use the term "AMD64" or "amd64" to refer to both AMD64 and Intel 64.
Re: Get language screen : Unknown error message
Alright - I agree with your notion that if I can't provide any log errors there will be no assistance.
However, you explain to me why if I have two Intel Chip PC's and one AMD Chip PC - the only one I was able to install Sabayon on is the AMD Chip.
I will try to provide errors, but I don't even know what errors to provide.
