install from usb media Boot sector fail

Postby audiomobster » Tue Apr 08, 2014 15:44

When I install from an usb media, that I created with
Code: Select all
dd if=/*.iso of=/bla
the boot sector seems to be corrupted. Same with a linux mint works fine. But I want nothing else than Sabayon/Gentoo. Is this issue known?

Sabayon_Linux_14.01_amd64_Xfce.iso md5 ok

Kind regards,

Uli

edit: I created a bootable USB stick with unetbootin and installed with all install settings default, same result.
Code: Select all
Error 3f0 not OS ...
Rising desperation.

I guess it's not about the hardware: HP 8470p

When I start with anaconda from first harddrive all I can see is
Code: Select all
** No iSCSI initiator found
Kernel panic
