I would install sabayon with lxde on an old laptop (~11 years) with pentium M 1.6 (first model) that doesn't support pae. I tried to boot the minimal iso on virtualbox but it stop because the lack of pae support. I know my laptop is obsolete, but it's good enough for my needs (email, internet and very simple office automation) as it has 768 mb of ram and nvidia card with dedicated memory. At the moment it works rather fine with ubuntu 12.04 (gnome fallback) but I want a lighter dm like lxde (usually installing different de on ubuntu results in a mess and lubuntu is out of support, so both options are discarded).
Is there a way to install sabayon on a laptop with that hardware?
