Postby manifesto » Fri Jan 17, 2014 19:00

I try to install from chroot as this page : https://wiki.sabayon.org/index.php?titl ... tion_files

But when it comes to : equo rescue generate
It just hangs there :
╠ !!! System database not found or corrupted, running in safe mode using temporary, empty repository
Files have been created in /var/lib/entropy and /var/tmp/ but it stuck after this :

Code: Select all

Hello, I am facing the same problem, I am trying to enable sabayon over a gentoo installed system, but the command 'equo rescue generate' is stuck somewhere and doesn't do anything.

It display 2 times a problem about the system database that can't be found.

Any solution ?

Thanks.

Hi

if repositorory is correctly setpu , try to enable sabayonlinux.org repository first

Code: Select all
# equo repo enable sabayonlinux.org

and simply update
Code: Select all
# equo update

then try to generate equo db
Code: Select all
# equo rescue generate

to update db according SPM

[edit] Please , paste the output :
Code: Select all
# equo status

Actually without response here I just reinstall from CD. It is a pity as it was more fun to do on chroot.
I find out some response on the IRC. You might try to ask there.
