nautilus crashing when root[Solved]

Post by kensum » Sat Feb 08, 2014 22:02

I used gksu nautilus to get root permissions. I was moving some icon files to user/share/icons and it would cause the system to crash. I has to do a hard restart serveral times before getting the files moved.
1. Is this the correct way to do this or am I causing the problem?
Using a fully updated gnome 64. thanks.

Don't use GNOME myself, but have you tried uninstalling the package nautilus-open-terminal as recommended in Nautilus crashing when running gksu nautilus [duplicate] over on the Ask Ubuntu site?
