dalla versione 3.3 del kernel ho un piccolo problemino: ci impiega circa 2 min in più per avviarsi, eseguendo

Non penso sia colpa dell'evoluzione del kernel.
Forse è 'qualcosa', qualche 'nuova' situazione, che si è venuta a creare sul tuo sistema a partire dal 3.3 :wink:
Esempio:
- installazione di nuovi pacchetti.
- aggiustamento dell'hardware
I dispositivi continuano a funzionare regolarmente?
Che kernel hai adesso? il 3.5?

-l'installazione di nuovi pacchetti e disinstallazione di altri è una pratica direi settimanale (anche solo per curiosità);
-l'hardware non è cambiato (portatile asus)
-si i dispositivi funzionano correttamente (a parte nautilus che ogni tanto non si collega in rete)
-il kernel è il 3.5

la cosa strana è che facendo prove a caso...ho installato i driver radeonhd, modificando Xorg.conf con questo driver il pc si avvia normalmente ma non parte gdm, modifico Xorg.conf a mano mettendo ati come driver e riavvio gdm e tutto funziona; se riavvio il pc con il driver ati in Xorg.conf il pc ci impiega ancora 2 minuti abbondanti a far niente... MAH!!!

ancora oggi ho lo stesso problema, sempre e soltano all'avvio del portatile, al riavvio non lo fa, spegnendo e riaccendendo lo fa ... qualcuno ha altri suggerimenti?

senza informazioni sul tuo hardware è difficile aiutarti

se provi a fare una ricerca probabilmente puoi trovare informazioni sul tipo di problema

intanto potresti provare ad aggiornare il kernel o tornare ad un kernel precedente funzionante (se esiste)

ho trovato qualcosa, per risolvere in parte il problema ho disabilitato hpet nell'avvio del kernel, ho aggiunto

hpet=disable

alla fine della variabile GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX nel file

/etc/default/sabayon-grub

ho aggornato grub2
e per ora sembra funzionare
