Bumblebee doesn't work

Postby mrlogick » Thu Jan 09, 2014 12:59

It's my first with Sabayon.
I've noticed that bumblebee is installed by default.
I tried to do:
Code: Select all
[email protected] ~ $ glxgears
Running synchronized to the vertical refresh.  The framerate should be
approximately the same as the monitor refresh rate.
303 frames in 5.0 seconds = 60.582 FPS
300 frames in 5.0 seconds = 59.930 FPS
300 frames in 5.0 seconds = 59.928 FPS
300 frames in 5.0 seconds = 59.930 FPS
300 frames in 5.0 seconds = 59.929 FPS

and with optirun:
Code: Select all
[email protected] ~ $ optirun glxgears
3656 frames in 5.0 seconds = 731.182 FPS
4767 frames in 5.0 seconds = 952.929 FPS
5059 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1011.453 FPS
4860 frames in 5.0 seconds = 971.868 FPS
4650 frames in 5.0 seconds = 929.935 FPS

Than:
Code: Select all
[email protected] ~ $ glxspheres
Polygons in scene: 62464
Visual ID of window: 0x20
Context is Direct
OpenGL Renderer: Mesa DRI Intel(R) Ivybridge Mobile
60.621228 frames/sec - 53.070248 Mpixels/sec
59.921966 frames/sec - 52.458086 Mpixels/sec
59.942208 frames/sec - 52.475806 Mpixels/sec

Code: Select all
And with optirun:
[email protected] ~ $ optirun glxspheres
Polygons in scene: 62464
Visual ID of window: 0x20
Context is Direct
OpenGL Renderer: GeForce GT 740M/PCIe/SSE2
52.180984 frames/sec - 45.681320 Mpixels/sec
55.906913 frames/sec - 48.943148 Mpixels/sec
56.475246 frames/sec - 49.440689 Mpixels/sec
55.948658 frames/sec - 48.979693 Mpixels/sec

And 64 bit:
Code: Select all
[email protected] ~ $ glxspheres64
Polygons in scene: 62464
Visual ID of window: 0x20
Context is Direct
OpenGL Renderer: Mesa DRI Intel(R) Ivybridge Mobile
60.435536 frames/sec - 52.907686 Mpixels/sec
60.667345 frames/sec - 53.110620 Mpixels/sec
59.949674 frames/sec - 52.482343 Mpixels/sec
59.922288 frames/sec - 52.458368 Mpixels/sec

And with optirun:
Code: Select all
[email protected] ~ $ optirun glxspheres64
Polygons in scene: 62464
Visual ID of window: 0x20
Context is Direct
OpenGL Renderer: GeForce GT 740M/PCIe/SSE2
58.493221 frames/sec - 51.207305 Mpixels/sec
58.489073 frames/sec - 51.203674 Mpixels/sec
62.780509 frames/sec - 54.960569 Mpixels/sec
59.334684 frames/sec - 51.943956 Mpixels/sec

So, my video card Nvidia seems to be worse than the Intel one.
In fact, If I tried to run "optirun blender", Blender don't recognizes the CUDA support, (and this is very strange).
And If I try to boot Dota 2 (inside Steam) with the optirun command i get this error:
Code: Select all
Could not find required OpenGl entry point 'glGetError'! Either your video card is unsupported, or your Open Gl driver needs to be updated

I think that my Nvidia card doesn't work... or doesn't work correctly
