Transfer files from/to Samsung Galaxy S3 [Solved]

Post by msdobrescu » Tue Dec 24, 2013 10:42

Hello,

I've got a Samsung Galaxy S3 with Android 4.3. I need to copy the files from one of its directory. This operation works fine under Windows. On my up to date Sabayon, it tries and fails for some files.
For instance, it copies text files, but there are some archives it can't and fails with an error:
Could not write to <filename>.part
and after that:
Unknown error
Unsupported operation
Note that
.part
is not in the original file name.

Weirdly enough, under KDE, the device is under [bold]camera:[/bold], any gnome apps displays the phone as a device and the sdcard on it as another.

What should I do to access the files?

Thank you.

Thanks, eventually I have used gMTP, which is great.
I don't like to upload/download stuff on the Internet just to transfer some files from/to my LOCAL pc and phone.
