Screen brightness adjustment not very sensitive

Post by ierpe » Thu Oct 17, 2013 8:41

Hey,

Since I'm a newbie I'm not sure this is Sabayon or Gnome related but...

When I adjust the screen brightness of my Lenovo T430s, the brightness bar is increasing/decreasing a lot (17 levels) , but the actual screen brightness is only changing up to 5 levels of brightness.

So at the end the brightness bar is moving a lot but my brightness not a lot... it's not very flexible...

Any idea on how to fix this?

Try editing grub.cfg and adding the following boot parameter (or, alternatively, add it in GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX in /etc/default/sabayon-grub and regenerate grub.cfg):

Code: Select all

acpi_osi='!Windows 2012'
