To summarize, about a week ago, during an attempt to delete KDE (after trying it out), I lost the ability to boot into anything but a command line. I attempted to update GNOME, reinstall KDE, and the solution contained within the link (checking if xdm is enabled and pointing to the right manager) in order to restore any files or packages I may have accidentally removed, but to no avail. My deptests and libtests come out good, excepting one xorg driver error for a driver that I have a more current version for.

I'm not sure what to do at this point. All help appreciated.
