MATE GUI crashed

Postby mrizzone » Sat Jul 20, 2013 14:11

Hello! The past week after updating/upgrading via Entropy, my two computers crashed. This post is on my Samsung N220 Plus with Sabayon MATE. The system works ok but the GUI don't show the upper tool bar. Any clue? Also, exists a keyboard shortcut for start th terminal? Thanks!

ALT+CTRL+F1 should get you a console terminal. There you can backup and then delete your .mate*, .gconf directories (or overwrite them with what's in /etc/skel). That should restore your desktop. Perhaps deleting .mateconf/Desktop is enough.
